Great new webseries - "Healthcare Triage"

During the war years, the govt put wage caps on certain trades.  Unable to compete for employees by offering more pay, employers started offering benefits and perks instead.  This is where the American convention of employee sponsored health insurance comes from.

Did you know that?  I didn't.  I learned it in the most recent episode of the new educational webseries "Healthcare Triage."

The ever growing Vlogbrothers franchise has just recently launched "Healthcare Triage," hosted by Dr. Aaron Caroll.  Its a weekly webseries on all things Obamacare.

This is exactly the kind of resource I like posting on this blog.

Cuz if your reading this here blogpost, learning about US economics and civic online, chances are you are a) an American, and b) a millennial.

If that's the case, its QUITE likely you will be buying health insurance this year. You need to know this stuff in order to make an informed decision when you do.

Don't watch these the way you watch Netflix; don't just hit play and zone out.  These babies require active viewing.  The value of informative Youtube videos like these maximized when the viewer pauses it to go Google a word, watches the complicated bits over and over and over again until it really sinks in...when you really focus and dig into the material.

There's only three videos up so far, but keep the page bookmarked.  I'm sure there will be some more worthwhile stuff coming.

If you are uninsured you HAVE TO buy insurance this year.  Might as well get your money's worth.  Besides you are much easier for the insurance companies to rook if you don't know what to look for!  Understand this stuff!!
